How to make easy & delicious pizza dough from scratch!
This recipe uses whole wheat flour as its only flour, unlike many other recipes. Whole wheat flour is a healthier alternative to your typical white all purpose flour!
Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 4 tsp yeast
- 1 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 3-4 cups whole wheat flour
Directions
- In a medium size bowl whisk together the yeast, water, and sugar. Let it proof for 5-10 minutes or until foamy and bubbly.
- Once done proofing add the oil and salt. Use the whisk to mix.
- Add the flour 1 cup at a time and mix with a rubber spatula. Once well mixed flour a surface and need the dough into a big ball.
- Oil a large bowl place the dough inside of it. Cover the dough with a damp towel and put in a warm place. Let it rise for 1-2 hours.
